Thank you for your response. I guess I really need to get a job where i can be on a payroll. Also, Ally told me that since my car loan is in bankruptcy that the payments I have made were not sent to the credit bureaus. So they told me they would send me a payment history in the mail. That way I can show proof of making payments on time to the dealership. I also have some damages on the vehicle that i need to have fixed and i am pretty much broke.

I know how you feel, I am in the same boat, only my attorney or lender never told me I would have to turn the car in. The bankruptcy court said I could keep the car.

I talked to Nissan and their policy is that whether or not I was current with my payments it was automatically included in the bankruptcy and any payments made would not keep them from taking my car, nor would I get credit for it from the credit agency's.

I wish I had known this months ago,I could have been saving the money for a car before I got laid off! Best of luck to you!
