Now that you know what the current Chevy rebates and incentives are, the key question is which do you choose...The rebate or the special 0% financing?
This question is very common and a good one at that. There are a couple of factors that come into play here to decide which is going to save you the most money in the long run.
The easiest way to figure what will save you the most money in the long run is to compare the "Total of Payments" (the dealer should be able to easily get this for you). Figure one "Total of Payments" with the Chevy rebates and the other based on a 0% APR with no Chevy rebates. Whichever is lower will be your long term best solution.
But, you'll want to be realistic in how long you plan keep the vehicle. If you are going to be financing for 72 months (to keep your payments low), but know that you trade every three years, then 0% may not be the best option.
This is especially true if you can get one of the larger Chevrolet rebates available. The reason for this is that the rebate may have decreased your amount owed on the vehicle far below what payments at 0% would have only halfway into your loan term. This also applies if you plan to pay the vehicle off early.
If you are able to get 0% plus the Chevy rebates, then you are in the money and are getting a great deal. If you can finance with a lender at 1.9% or 2.9% and get a decent rebate you may still come out ahead of just the straight 0%. Again, check the "Total of Payments".
0% however, quite often works out to be the best option if you are putting a limited amount down (or zero down) and if you are financing for a longer term, i.e. 60 - 75 months.
Competition is Key!
Whether you choose the Chevy rebates or the 0%, you always want to be sure to get a great deal on your new Chevrolet and competition is key to that. Check out Chevrolet for what I feel is the fastest way to save and buy a new vehicle. A penny saved is a penny earned!
